Spider-Man was arrested after a confrontation with alleged racist Jake Lang. Alleged is a legal protection to provide cover. I am certain you saw it. Spider-Man popped up in Minneapolis and beat up some people.
Police identified him as William Nicholas Love, 33, and he was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor fifth degree assault. His bail was listed at $300. I think he is out, but he is not confirmed.
For the record, authorities have not officially confirmed that Love was the person inside the Spider-Man costume. I am thinking it was Miles or Peter. Because his bail was relatively low, he may have since been released.
The purported racist Jake Lang was arrested outside Minneapolis City Hall after his demonstration erupted into a wild confrontation with counterprotesters. He was doing his best to ruin everybody’s day!
Video from Saturday’s clash showed a person dressed as Spider-Man ( to me, he was just Spider-Man) climbing onto the back of Lang’s pickup truck and striking the far right activist. The costumed counterprotester was eventually pulled away as shouting and physical confrontations unfolded around the vehicle. This is code for: he wore them out.
The bizarre superhero moment quickly spread across social media, but the scene involved more than an unexpected costume and flying fists. Lang arrived near City Hall around 11:50 a.m. with six other people traveling in two vehicles. Both vehicles unexpectedly moved onto the sidewalk toward a crowd that had gathered for a counterprotest. And this is where the hell came down.
The vehicles were traveling slowly and then people surrounded them. Chemical irritants broke out on everybody.
“Almost immediately, a confrontation developed between members of the crowd and individuals associated with both vehicles,” Interim Police Chief Bill Peterson said. “Chemical irritant believed to be mace was deployed by individuals on both sides.”
Lang and the six people traveling with him were arrested on probable cause riot allegations. Both vehicles were impounded. Lang received medical treatment for an apparent injury that police said was not connected to his arrest.
Translation: Spider-Man beat that a##! By the way, the new movie is “Spider-Man: Brand New Fade.” LOL!
Police also arrested four people near City Hall – protesters. For the record, we have not confirmed in the reports reviewed that Love was the person wearing the Spider-Man costume.
Three officers sustained injuries during the commotion. One officer was hospitalized and later released. Spidey did not do that.
Lang has long targeted Muslims and immigrants. He also previously served prison time for his involvement in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He receiving a presidential pardon in 2025. He’s trash,
“People on both sides are able to express their First Amendment rights even when I find what they’re saying to be abhorrent, and that’s certainly the case with Jake Lang,” Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said.
“And all the same, if you’re going to come in here, you’re going to drive on the sidewalk, you’re going to incite a riot, and you’re going to be a problem for people’s safety, then you’re going to get arrested and that was exactly the case with Jake Lang.”
