Nick Cannon could lose his relationship with Bre Tiesi if he has another child, she said during a new conversation about their family.
Tiesi laid out the boundary on the October 6 episode of Angela Yee’s Lip Service. Asked what might change her plans to stay with Cannon, she named one thing: another baby.
“If he has another baby,” Tiesi said.
She framed the concern around time. Cannon has fathered 12 children, and Tiesi said she already feels guilt about balancing her career with being there for their son, Legendary Love.
“And if it ever happens, then I might be out,” she said.
Tiesi also said she doesn’t want another child herself. Her concern wasn’t a lack of love for Cannon. In the same conversation, she described him as her life partner and said she sees their relationship lasting.
The warning arrives after Cannon publicly said he was taking a break from expanding his family.
AllHipHop reported his comments in September, when he discussed the daily demands of school pickups and his children’s activities. He said he takes being present seriously because his own parents couldn’t always attend his events while he was growing up.
“Right now, 12 is good. I’m in the car line every day, and there’s basketball, karate, jujitsu, tap, piano, guitar… We come from a different generation; we were latchkey kids, and we had to take care of ourselves. I don’t remember my dad or mom being at my recitals. My mom was working three jobs, and my dad lived across the country. So I take that stuff very seriously,” Nick Cannon told US Weekly.
Cannon’s family includes twins Moroccan and Monroe with Mariah Carey, children with Brittany Bell and Abby De La Rosa, and children with Alyssa Scott and LaNisha Cole. His son Zen died in 2021.
The Wild ‘N Out creator is also bringing that family life into his work. AllHipHop previously reported plans for a Netflix project about his children and career.
Tiesi discussed filming their upcoming reality show during Lip Service. She said seeing how she and Cannon interact, including how they are with their son, would give viewers a look at a part of their relationship they usually keep private.
