Sean “Diddy” Combs is in the rumors behind bars.
A new video seems to show the incarcerated mogul handling what looks like a smartphone inside the federal facility where he is serving his sentence.
NBC News aired footage from Burlington County, New Jersey, identifying the man shown as Combs and displaying his federal inmate number, 37452-054. I think that’s his special number too.
The network described the footage with the headline, “Diddy appears to use cellphone in video filmed inside prison.” LOL! I love how they tiered the allegation.
The footage does not establish how the device entered the facility, who owned it or whether prison officials have determined that Combs violated federal prison regulations. His reps say that the don of Bad Boy is being stalked even in prison.
Cellphones are prohibited contraband for federal prisoners. Fort Dix also has a documented history of cellphone smuggling. In 2019, federal authorities charged individuals in a scheme involving drones that allegedly delivered cellphones and other prohibited items into the prison, per CBS News
There is history here too, because Combs has already gotten in trouble over telephone rules since arriving at Fort Dix.
CBS News previously reported on prison documents showing Combs faced disciplinary action over an unauthorized three way telephone call shortly after his transfer to the facility. Prison officials recommended that he lose phone and commissary privileges for 90 days. A representative for Combs maintained the call involved his legal team and said there was “nothing improper.”
Combs was transferred to FCI Fort Dix in October 2025 after receiving a 50 month sentence following his conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. A jury acquitted him of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges.
Bureau of Prisons records reportedly list Jan. 21, 2028, as his expected release date. That date continues to shift and move.
There’s no additional word on if Diddy will get into any trouble over this latest dust
up.
