Dave Chappelle is bringing his comedy tour to seven major arenas this fall, with the final stop being the most prestigious venue in New York.
The comedian’s latest run kicks off October 20 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville and will make stops across the country before concluding at Madison Square Garden on November 6 for the opening night of the New York Comedy Festival.
This marks a significant moment for the festival, a cornerstone of comedy culture for years.
The tour hits Charlotte on October 21, then moves to Toronto on October 23 before heading to Louisville on October 24.
From there, Chappelle takes the stage in Austin on October 26 and Houston on October 28, building momentum toward his New York finale.
Caroline Hirsch, founder and owner of the New York Comedy Festival, expressed her enthusiasm about having him headline the festival’s opening night.
“Dave is one of the defining comedians of his generation and, without question, one of the greatest stand-up comedians of all time,” she said. “To have Dave close out his tour by opening our festival is spectacular.”
General admission tickets go on sale September 17 at noon local time through Ticketmaster.
Chappelle has been on a comedy tear lately, wrapping up a summer arena tour and performing multiple nights at the “Netflix Is a Joke” festival earlier this year.
He also recently performed at a benefit concert for 9/11 charities at Madison Square Garden, showing his commitment to using his platform for meaningful causes.
