Nicki Minaj is carrying her MAGA-era bond with Elon Musk onto the keynote stage at October’s X Takeover in Austin.
The rapper announced Friday that she will speak on October 10 at Tesla’s Giga Texas and meet attendees during the technology fanfest.
“I’m excited to announce that I’ll be speaking at the X takeover on 10/10 at Tesla Giga Texas. Can’t wait to see you there and I’ll be doing a meet and greet with you guys as well. I’m honored to be doing this. Let’s make some magic!” Minaj said in an X video.
The event website lists Minaj and Musk’s mother, Maye Musk, as its two keynote speakers, with programming built around Tesla, SpaceX, artificial intelligence and robotics. Organizers say the October 9-10 gathering is independently produced by TOSV Inc., while Tesla supplies only the venue and gives no endorsement.
The booking follows Minaj’s May visit to SpaceX’s Starbase, which AllHipHop covered as her public relationship with Musk became much warmer.
Wearing a Starship shirt linked to her 2012 hit “Starships,” she appeared on SpaceX’s webcast before technical trouble canceled the rocket launch.
“Major shout-out to Elon,” Minaj said. “Elon, thank you for everything that you’re doing for humanity. This is historic. This is a major moment, y’all.”
Musk later welcomed her on X after the scrubbed attempt, writing, “Welcome to Starbase, @nickiminaj!” Minaj answered him with matching enthusiasm: “Thank you, Elon! It’s such a magical place.” Weeks later, she posted a birthday selfie and told Musk, “Thank you for saving free speech, Elon. Happy Birthday. Love always. From Gag City & the Barbz!”
Nicki Minaj’s political shift was already unmistakable after appearances at Turning Point USA and the Treasury Department’s January Trump Accounts Summit.
“I am probably the president’s No. 1 fan, and that’s not going to change,” Minaj said. “The hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.”
X Takeover’s conference and expo run from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M. on October 10, and organizers say every main-stage keynote will stream online.
