Waka Flocka Flame Welcomes Son Juaquin Jr. and Says His “Purpose So Clear”

Waka Flocka is a dad, and he wants the world to know exactly what that feels like.

The Atlanta rapper welcomed his first biological child, a baby boy named Juaquin Jr., and posted up in hospital scrubs to share the raw emotion that came with it.

“Looking into my newborn’s eyes, I can’t believe the insight, the intuition, the responsibility that hits you all at once,” he wrote on Instagram. “It’s my job to help shape a beautiful human, loving, caring, thoughtful, and kind. Purpose so clear.”

The announcement had been building since his 40th birthday on May 31, when he posted a photo holding a wooden “J” engraved with his son’s name and captioned it, “Just waiting for you to come home Jr.

Best gift a man could ever ask for.”

Lil Scrappy jumped in the comments with “Congrats brudda God blessed you with a blessing,” and the love kept pouring in from there.

When blogs started calling Juaquin Jr. his “first child,” Waka corrected that immediately.

“This my second child, and this my first son,” Waka Flocka said in an Instagram video. “Stop playing with my daughter, bro.”

That daughter is Charlie Rivera, 20, who he’s been a father figure to since she was four years old and came into his life through his relationship with Tammy Rivera.

What makes Waka’s fatherhood story different from the typical Hollywood blended family narrative is how consistent he’s stayed with Charlie even after the marriage ended.

Waka Flocka and Tammy wed in 2014 and divorced in 2022, but the co-parenting never skipped a beat.

Last September, he bought Charlie her first home outright, a condo with zero mortgage attached.

Tammy shouted it out on Instagram writing, “Imagine the first time you move out on your own, you’re buying a condo PAID IN FULL!!” and Waka simply called it one of many things he planned to do for his baby girl.

Tammy’s been candid about the marriage itself and where things went sideways.

On Carlos King’s Reality With the King podcast in December, she described Waka as someone who genuinely wanted to be a family man but was still battling his own demons during their years together.

She also made it clear the friendship survived everything.

“We were such friends. That was my homie,” she said.

The identity of Juaquin Jr.’s mother has not been publicly disclosed, and no official birth date has been confirmed.
